Originally organized in 2019 by Hilltop resident Melissa Green, the event was created partly as a response to the constant negative attention surrounding Sullivant Avenue, with the goal of bringing positivity, music, and holiday cheer back to the west side. The event features live Christmas caroling, a mobile stage band, free gifts for children from Santa Claus, ornament making, hot cocoa, cookies, winter coats, and community meals, all while transforming Sullivant Avenue into something warm and welcoming during the holidays.
